    Everyone who believes in software as a service wants this to happen eventually.  Although Mr. Thomas makes this sound like a bad thing, it's quite possible that computers with a descent browser will eventually be the modern version of the dumb terminal.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The new &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.palm.com/us/products/mobilecompanion/foleo/&quot;&gt;Palm Foleo&lt;/a&gt; is a perfect example of this.  </description>
